The Irish pianist John O’Conor is not a household name in the U.S., but he is a fine, sturdy, and sensitive musician whose playing is neither idiosyncratic nor assembly-line bland. The Beethoven Sonatas display his deft passagework and handsome tone, while the Mozart Concertos reveal a performer of great tact and taste. No Horowitzian fireworks here, but in this repertory who needs them? B
