Lending credence to the old joke ”Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be,” here’s firm evidence that an ’80s revival is quickly descending upon us:

The Go-Go’s have regrouped, released a greatest hits package, and are currently on a reunion tour.

A Stray Cats anthology is imminent.

Former members of The Specials and The English Beat, two important ”ska rock” bands of the early ’80s, have merged into Special Beat and are now on tour.

Boy George is planning yet another comeback.

Wham, the British duo of George Michael and Andrew Ridgely, will reunite for two songs at Rock in Rio II, a Brazilian pop festival in January.

Can Christopher Cross be far behind?
