Backstab is another reconstituted Hitchcock rip-off, but a perfectly serviceable one. Architect James Brolin is in serious Wrong Man territory when he goes to bed with a mysterious woman and wakes up next to his boss’ corpse. You’ll know whodunit in 10 minutes, but it doesn’t matter: This is like a good pulpy paperback that you enjoy all over again because you can’t remember whether you’ve read it before. C+
