Next week, James Corden heads to England to host a week of The Late Late Show, and the journey that he takes with a special Carpool Karaoke guest will wind through Abbey Road.
Paul McCartney will do the popular segment, The Late Late Show announced on Wednesday. The former Beatle will take James on a tour of McCartney’s hometown of Liverpool to duet with the late-night host on hits across his career as well as some new songs.
“I can’t wait for you all to see this,” tweeted Corden. “It was a day that will live with me forever x”
Shawn Mendes, Adam Levine, and Christina Aguilera have recently occupied Corden’s passenger seat for singalongs, and artists ranging from Adele to Lady Gaga to Madonna to Elton John have taken the musical journey since the segment helped launched Corden’s late-night show in 2015.
The Late Late Show returns to London to broadcast from Central Hall Westminster June 18-21 at 12:37 a.m. ET/PT on CBS. Chris Pratt will star in a new sketch, while J.J. Abrams, Damian Lewis, and Ruth Wilson have been added to a guest list that already includes Cher, Cate Blanchett, Foo Fighters, and Niall Horan. In addition, a new Crosswalk: The Musical will feature Andrew Lloyd Webber.
