Sisters are doing it for themselves — and this time, it’s true crime.
Investigation Discovery announced a new series on Tuesday called Twisted Sisters, executive produced by none other than Khloé Kardashian. The series will explore “the most outrageous and provocative crimes ever committed” by pairs of sisters, according to the network.
Kardashian, who is currently expecting her first child, will co-executive produce alongside Stephanie Noonan Drachkovitch of 44 Blue Productions. “I am so excited to be bringing you Twisted Sisters,” Kardashian said. “As a self-proclaimed ‘true-crime addict’ there is no better way to tell these tales about the bonds that sisters possess and how they can go so terribly wrong.”
Each hour-long episode will delve into the sisters’ crimes, some committed together but often committed against each other, with deadly results. The series will investigate the reasons behind the crimes, interviewing immediate family and close friends to understand where and why the women went wrong. Additionally, “[investigators] and law enforcement anchor each story as they recount firsthand their unraveling of the case and try to make sense of the crimes committed,” according to ID.
Said Group President of Investigation Discovery Henry Schleiff, “We are thrilled to be working with Khloé on this new venture. ID is known for telling revealing stories about real people. With one of the most renowned experts on ‘sisters’ now a member of our own ID family, we know she will be able to bring a unique perspective that will inform and entertain our core fans, while enticing new viewers to tune-in.”
The six-part series will premiere on ID in 2019.
