Last week, Ellen DeGeneres introduced Tiffany Haddish to her idol, Oprah Winfrey, on live television, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Today, the tear-jerking talk show host had her sights set on repeated Academy Awards host Jimmy Kimmel.

DeGeneres began by praising Kimmel for his empathetic nature, and he matched her admiration by thanking her for raising a million dollars for his son Billy, who was born with genetic heart disease and has already undergone two surgeries for the condition in his 10 months of life. In December, the late-night host brought his baby boy on stage to advocate for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Unbeknownst to him, the Finding Dory star was not done spreading her generosity to little Billy. One of the rooms on the heart institute floor of the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital now bears a plaque honoring Billy Kimmel. Several of Billy’s nurses were even in the audience to witness the surprise.

Kimmel was so moved, he could only manage to mouth the words “Thank you,” and kiss DeGeneres on the cheek as he wiped away tears.
