Dakota Johnson gave Jamie Dornan 'sexy notes' while filming the Fifty Shades franchise

It seems even Mr. Grey can learn a thing or two about bedroom etiquette.

On Thursday night’s episode of Conan, Jamie Dornan, who plays the BDSM-loving billionaire in the Fifty Shades franchise, stopped by to share his take on the newest installment in the trilogy, Fifty Shades Freed, and share some on-screen tidbits. When host Conan O’Brien asked if the director ever stepped in to offer “sexy notes” to the actors during the more intimate scenes, Dornan revealed that is was mostly his costar Dakota Johnson who had the best advice.

“That’s a tricky conversation,” said the Northern Irish actor. “I feel like there’s times where maybe Dakota would be quicker to give me a note than a director… In the first movie, I guess there’s a sexy way to take off a girl’s underwear.” He then demonstrated a very unsexy and rash way of removing said item of clothing that more closely resembled pants-ing someone as a prank. “There’s a more delicate and sensual way to do it which is more thumbs into the side and then you sort of shimmy it down,” he added while miming the act.

Watch the clip above for more insight into the process.

Fifty Shades Freed is in movie theaters now.
