Felicity Huffman joins season 2 of Get Shorty

Epix (2)

The con goes on. Epix has started production on season 2 of Get Shorty, and is expanding the show’s roster of criminals, cops, and con artists. Felicity Huffman is joining the cast as a recurring guest star.

Loosely adapted from the 1990 Elmore Leonard novel, Get Shorty tells the story of career criminal Miles Daly (Chris O’Dowd), who tries to go clean by making a movie with B-list Hollywood producer Rick Moreweather (Ray Romano). By the time season 2 rolls around, however, the relationship between Miles and Rick is starting to splinter. Rick agrees to wear a wire to aid the FBI’s investigation into the criminal organization Miles came from. Huffman will play Clara Dillard, the FBI special agent in charge of the investigation. She’s described as “hippie therapist meets J. Edgar Hoover.”

Get Shorty was created by Davey Holmes. It premiered last August, and will return to Epix for season 2 later this year.
