Fox’s hit 9-1-1 has seen its share of epic action sequences. The baby in the pipes. The upside-down rollercoaster. The blown away bouncy house.

Now, the series tackles its biggest rescue so far: a terrifying airline water crash. EW has an exclusive first look at the episode airing tonight at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Star Angela Bassett teased the sequence to EW, “They literally made the ocean that this plane crashes into,” says Bassett of the huge production. “I really don’t know how much bigger we’re gonna go.”

Something tells us that American Horror Story producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear will find a way.
