Things already are not looking so good for Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) in an exclusive clip from this week’s episode of Chicago P.D. First of all, he’s being held captive. And then, the guy with whom he’s being held captive — who just happens to be played by Mekhi Phifer — drops one serious jaw-dropper of a bombshell.

“Don’t you talk to me about owning up to no truth,” Joe Baker, a reformed gangbanger described as “stoic, revengeful, and tough,” tells Atwater. “You need to do that.”

Atwater looks rather terrified as he shakes his head and insists, “not now.” But Joe presses on.

“I feel like I’m in hell being chained up with the bastard who murdered my son,” he declares.

What the WHAT!? The rest of the Intelligence team needs to rescue them so we can get to the bottom of this!

Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
