To celebrate our Winter TV Preview, EW is bringing fans 25 Scoops in 25 Days. From now until the end of the month, follow the hashtag #25Scoops25Days on Twitter and Instagram to keep up with the latest — and check EW.com/25scoops for all the news and surprises.

Quinn Perkins is dead — at least, that’s what Scandal would like you to think. Maybe she is. Maybe she isn’t. But it looks like Charlie and Huck may be on a mission for revenge when the Shondaland drama returns — and EW has an exclusive first look.

For those who may not remember, Rowan (Joe Morton) gave Olivia (Kerry Washington) an ultimatum in the fall finale: Return his dinosaur bones or he’d kill Quinn (Katie Lowes), who had been missing since her wedding day. When Liv refused to relent, Rowan seemingly shot a screaming Quinn. To be fair, it was off-screen, so there’s a good chance she’s still alive, but still!

In the exclusive photo below, an angry Charlie (George Newbern), who thought Quinn had left him on their wedding day, has his gun leveled at someone, but viewers can’t see who it is. If we do a little detective work, you’ll notice that Olivia Pope is in a similar looking forest in the photo above. Does this mean the Gladiators know their former fearless leader had a hand in whatever happened to Quinn?

We’ll find out when Scandal returns Thursday, Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
