No one can keep up with Kidman!
On Monday morning, Nicole Kidman shared her first ever Instagram post: a pic of her holding up her Golden Globe award in a now-empty ballroom of the Beverly Hilton — the venue for the 2018 ceremony. “About last night……shut the place down!!!” wrote the actress in the photo’s caption. “I am so proud of my Big Little Lies family and to have stood with my sisters on such a special night. #TimesUp.”
The Big Little Lies star appears to have literally shut down the party as behi r chairs are stacked and Beverly Hilton employees can be seen clearing up the space. (It should also be noted that Kidman only follows five people on the social media site, four of which are her BLL costars — Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon — and the other her husband, country singer Keith Urban.)
The Australian actress took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series for the her performance as abused wife Celeste Wright on the HBO miniseries. Kidman, along with the other stars of the series, including Witherspoon, Woodley, Kravitz and Dern all wore black to protest sexual harassment and raise awareness of the Time’s Up anti-harassment movement.
Kidman paid tribute to her mother as she accepted the award. “My mama was an early advocate of the women’s movement,” she said. “Thank you, Janelle Kidman, for what you fought for so hard.”
Big Little Lies recently was picked up for a second season.
