Posted on

In honor and celebration of National Trans Awareness Week, here’s a first look at the cast of FX Networks’ upcoming Pose

Pose, the pilot of which is currently filming on location in New York City, has the most trans series regulars of any show in American television history.

The above image is the first official look at trans cast members (left to right) Hailie Sahar, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Angelica Ross, and M.J. Rodriguez.

The FX series, created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Steven Canals, is set in New York City in the ’80s and focuses on the collision of various worlds, including the elite rich and downtown ball culture. Murphy is directing the pilot.

Pose also features Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, and Tatiana Maslany in major roles. Tony Award winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots) is also set to appear.

The series will also be mentoring transgender directors through Murphy’s Half Foundation.
