We finally know when Black Lightning will premiere!

Greg Berlanti’s latest superhero drama will bow in Jan. 16 at 9 p.m., right after The Flash returns from the holiday hiatus, the CW announced Thursday. Yes, Black Lighting is taking DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s spot, but don’t worry, Legends will return with new episodes on a new night and time in February.

Executive produced by Salim and Mara Brock Akil, Black Lightning follows Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), a retired superhero with electricity powers, father of two, and principal of a charter high school. Nine years after hanging up his costume, Jefferson suits back up after his daughters Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) and his community are threatened by Tobias Whale’s (Marvin “Krondon” Jones III) 100 Gang.

The CW also revealed when the rest of its current shows will return with new episodes, which you can see below. The series premiere date for Lucy Hale’s Life Sentence and the season premiere dates for iZombieThe Originals, and The 100, are noticeably absent from the schedule, but the network says those dates will be announced later.
