Andy’s (John Cho) home is getting a little crowded.

In the next episode of The Exorcist, the foster father can’t find a second to himself. After all, Marcus (Ben Daniels) and Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) have been investigating the source of the eerie occurrences around the island, and the demon’s manifested itself as a very life-like version of his dead wife Nikki (Alicia Witt). In the clip above, she shows up to encourage his resentment toward the priests — which is part of why Andy’s about to lose it.

“We have a clash of the titans [dynamic] coming,” Cho teases of Andy’s confrontation with Marcus and Tomas. “We butt heads, the priests and Andy. It’s maybe my favorite scene of the whole series. It’s this extended tête-a-tête with the priests, and it was so much fun to film. It was finally working in a real way with Alfonso and Ben, who are tremendous actors. They were going at me, and I was going at them. It was fantastic.”

Then again, Andy’s not going up against the priests alone. On his side (well, sort of) is Nikki, who has him wrapped around her finger after transforming from Grace (Amélie Eve). “When I read that, I was like, ‘Oh God, that’s perverse and weird,'” Cho recalls of finding out the twist at the end of episode 5. “It’s horrible. And good.” Well, only good for Nikki/Grace/whatever this entity wants to call itself.

The Exorcist airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.

Fox’s 2016 TV series stars Geena Davis.
