ABC ordered three more episodes of freshman comedy Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, EW has confirmed, bringing the Jason Ritter-led series to a total of 15 episodes.
Premiering in early October to a 1.0 rating among adults, more recent episodes have done slightly better, especially when factoring in delayed viewing (up three-tenths for three additional days, one-tenth with seven days).
Created by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters (Agent Carter, Resurrection), the comedy also stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Kimberly Hebert Gregory, and Chloe East.
ABC also ordered three more scripts for The Mayor, starring Brandon Michael Hall and Lea Michele. Executive-produced by Hamilton‘s Daveed Diggs, that series fared better than Kevin in its debut (1.2 rating in its key demo), which followed ratings hit black-ish.
The Mayor airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m., followed by Kevin (Probably) Saves the World at 10 p.m.
