The Middle: Relive all the Heck Thanksgivings in exclusive clip

Posted on

It’s been a heck of a Thanksgiving tradition on The Middle. But now, in the final season, it’s time for one last feast, as well as a nostalgic look back.

In an exclusive clip from Tuesday’s episode, Frankie (Patricia Heaton) gets sentimental, leading to a montage of the eight previous delicious, romantic, and traditional feasts. And speaking of feasts, the last Heck Thanksgiving will be in jeopardy as the family encounters delays on their road trip to Frankie’s sister’s house.

While this may be the final season, Patricia Heaton previously told EW that there’s hope the ABC sitcom could continue in the form of annual holiday specials. But if this is the end of the road for the Hecks, co-creator DeAnn Heline promises a fitting finale.

“There will be no Game of Thrones horrible deaths,” she revealed to EW, with a laugh, adding they’ve known for years how things will conclude. “I think it will be super funny, satisfying, and the right ending for the show.”

The Middle airs Tuesdays on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. Watch the clip above.
