Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you already know that there’s a clear frontrunner in the 2017 Emmys race: Mad Men alum Elisabeth Moss.
Moss is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, based off of Margaret Atwood’s novel about the dystopia of Gilead. Though Moss is excited to explore more in the second season of the Hulu drama, this season provided its fair share of challenges for the actress. For example, the haunting scene in the final episode when Offred sees her daughter, Hannah.
“That was definitely the most challenging scene,” Moss told EW. “Partially just physically because I’m a moron, I decided to just give myself every single take 100 percent and just throw myself around the car. They took out the floor so it was all metal things in the floor so I had all these bruises.”

“I wanted to do it justice,” she added. “But that’s what I like to do, so I can’t complain.”
