Josh Groban is going from 19th century Russia to 21st century West Covina!

Groban, who recently wrapped up his Tony-nominated run in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, has booked a guest-starring role on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, series co-creator and star Rachel Bloom revealed on Instagram Monday evening. According to the network, the “You Raise Me Up” singer will play a mysterious and helpful stranger who will sing in the show.

“@joshgroban is gonna be on #crazyexgirlfriend but it’s a secret so don’t tell anyone,” Bloom captioned a Boomerang of Groban excitedly popping into the frame beside her.

The second season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ended with a scorned Rebecca (Bloom) vowing to destroy the love of her life Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III) after he left her at the altar. At this summer’s TCA press tour, Bloom teased that season 3 would have some Fatal Attraction vibes.

“If you thought this show was going to be funny Fatal Attraction, that’s what we are going into the season as,” said Bloom. Co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna added, “If Rebecca tried to boil a bunny, she would take the bunny and bring it home, and a month later she would have 50 bunnies. She is not very good at being a femme fatale.”

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend returns Friday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
