Are the residents of Mystic Falls about to make their way to Riverdale?

Probably not, but Julie Plec, co-creator and executive producer of The Vampire Diaries and The Originalsis going to be stopping by to direct an episode of the Archie Comics-based series on The CW.

In a stream of tweets that began after she realized she’d picked up a Teen Choice Award on Sunday night, Plec wrote, “And by the way, congrats to #Riverdale for dominating the TV awards. I’ll be there directing an episode for them this fall. Very psyched.”

No word yet on when that episode will air — or if it will be one of those featuring another visitor to the town of Riverdale: Veronica’s ex-boyfriend (read more on him here).

Plec’s announcement concluded a series of tweets thanking fans for several Vampire Diaries wins at the Teen Choice Awards, including Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show and Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress for Kat Graham.

Riverdale‘s second season premieres Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
