The Psych-O’s came out in droves at San Diego Comic-Con to see the cast of their beloved USA show reunite ahead of Psych: The Movie, which will premiere in December. It was the first gathering of the cast since 2013.

Cast members James Roday, Dulé Hill, Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson, and Corbin Bernsen were all on stage in Ballroom 20, and they were joined by creator Steve Franks and executive producers Chris Henze and Kelly Kulchak.

The panel’s moderator was also someone known to Psych fans: Jimmi Simpson, who played Mr. Yang expert Mary Lightly in four key episodes of the series, announced that he will also reprise his role in the movie.

One small problem: Mary died in the season 4 finale. So how is he going to be back? That remains a mystery.

The reunion began on a bittersweet moment, calling out a cast member who couldn’t be in San Diego. Tim Omundson suffered a stroke earlier this year, so Simpson coordinated a message to be sent to him as a video. On the count of three, the audience yelled, “Suck it, Tim.”

After a round of opening questions, Steve Franks announced he’d be showing off the first eight scenes of Psych: The Movie. Action begins in a San Francisco port, where Shawn Spencer is scouting a fence for stolen goods. He’s decked out in a fake Hagrid beard, naturally.

As previously announced, Zachary Levi will appear in the movie as the Thin White Duke, a mysterious foe who is out to destroy Team Psych.
