The Netflix universe of Marvel shows reaches its biggest moment yet with the forthcoming Marvel’s The Defenders series, an event that joins street-level heroes Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) together for the first time after standalone adventures.

But the show is not just a big moment for the residents of Hell’s Kitchen: It also marked the biggest Marvel television Comic-Con International event thus far, with a primetime Hall H panel inside the San Diego Convention Center on Friday.

In addition to screening the first episode of the show, due Aug. 18, Netflix debuted an epic new teaser for Marvel’s The Defenders. Watch the teaser below.

Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb moderated The Defenders panel, which featured a surprise appearance by Marvel’s The Punisher star Jon Bernthal, who debuted new footage from the latest Marvel-Netflix show.

In addition to Bernthal, Marvel’s The Defenders showrunner Marco Ramirez, Jessica Henwick (Coleen Wing), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elodie Yung (Elektra), and show villain Sigourney Weaver (who scored a standing ovation from the Hall H crowd) appeared inside the San Diego Convention Center for the event, as did the Defenders themselves.

The panel also included some news: Daredevil season 3 was confirmed by Netflix, while Iron Fist season 2 will begin production soon.
