One cop may be leaving Chicago P.D., but another is heading home.

Though Sophia Bush is exiting the series after four seasons, Jon Seda is returning to the force, EW has learned.

“It’s a pleasure to have Jon back on Chicago P.D.,” executive producer Dick Wolf said in a statement. “We have been working together for more than 20 years and I hope there are many more to come.”

The One Chicago franchise mainstay first debuted his character, Antonio Dawson, in the early days of Chicago Fire and went on to become a series regular on P.D. when it launched in 2014. At the beginning of 2017, Dawson was offered a gig as an investigator in the city’s Special Prosecutions Bureau, which meant Seda left Voight’s (Jason Beghe) squad on P.D. for Peter Stone’s (Philip Winchester) Chicago Justice launch team.

Justice was canceled in May, leaving fans with questions about Seda’s future with the Chicago family.

Bush’s departure possibly still leaves a vacancy on the P.D. team, one many suspect will be filled by Tracy Spiridakos, who guest-starred in the final episodes of the season.

Chicago P.D. season 5 kicks off on Sept. 27 on NBC.
