World of Dance will be back to boogie.
NBC announced Thursday that the summer reality series has been renewed for a second season.
Judged by Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Derek Hough and hosted by Jenna Dewan Tatum, World of Dance features hoofers of all ages and styles competing for a $1 million prize.
Lopez, who doubles as an executive producer on the show, said in a statement that she’s “proud to not only star, but produce a show that is so close to my heart. I am so happy that World of Dance has resonated with audiences and we are able to put dancers on the pedestal they deserve.”

Since its May 30 debut, the show has averaged a 2.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 11 million viewers overall in live-plus-seven-day ratings, according to Nielsen data. It’s the No. 1 first-year series of the summer in 18-49 and total viewers, and the summer’s No. 2 entertainment series in both measures, behind NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
