Hulu’s mysterious Stephen King/J.J. Abrams series Castle Rock is starting to cast its town residents. EW has confirmed that Sissy Spacek, who played the iconic title character in the film adaptation of King’s Carrie, and Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe) will both be joining the show. The actresses join previously cast member Andre Holland (Moonlight) in the 10-episode psychological horror series set in the titular town and King’s multiverse.

Spacek plays “Ruth Deaver, estranged adoptive mother of Henry (Holland), a retired professor whose fading memories may hold a key to Castle Rock’s unsettling past.”

Meanwhile, Levy is “Jackiethe death-obsessed, self-appointed historian of Castle Rock.”

The series is being developed by Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason (Abrams will executive produce with the duo) and will begin shooting this year.
