After all these years, Futurama is still in danger, and fans are once again rallying to its side. But this time, it’s not the specter of cancellation that threatens Matt Groening’s animated sci-fi sitcom, but rather the show’s imminent removal from Netflix.

Upon playing an episode from one of Futurama’s first five seasons, Netflix viewers are now greeted with a message saying, “This season is available until July 1.” In response, fans have risen up in protest, even starting a petition with the provocative name “If you cancel Futurama, we’ll cancel you, Netflix!” At press time, 1,642 people signed the petition.

As one Reddit user pointed out, the removal might not entirely be Netflix’s fault, since 20th Century Fox holds the license, though it’s important to note that Netflix regularly adds and removes from programming from its streaming service. Regardless of who exactly is at fault, Futurama fans are definitely upset at losing access to a favorite show. Check out some of their best reactions below.
