Better Call Saul: Gus Fring warns that drugs are a fireable offense at Los Pollos Hermanos

If you’re going to have a front company for your drug empire, you might as well make it as the best possible business you can. And Gus Fring runs Los Pollos Hermanos like the tightest of ships so it can give customers the tastiest of chickens.

That starts wth proper personnel training. Better Call Saul has offered up a series of web shorts starring Giancarlo Esposito’s Fring that serve as training videos for new Los Pollos Hermanos employees. The latest installment delves into the code of conduct. In addition to limiting visits from family members and banning photography to keep that proprietary company information private, LPH has a strict zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy, because Gus Fring also sells irony by the kilo.

“If any employee is discovered with illegal substances on company property, he or she will be terminated immediately and turned over to the proper authorities,” says Gus, adding sternly, “I do not work with junkies.” Are you listening, Jesse Pinkman?

Better Call Saul airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
