Riley Matthews might not be continuing her journey on Girl Meets World, but thanks to Rowan Blanchard, her spirit is still alive and kissing.

The Wrinkle in Time actress is currently guest-starring on The Goldbergs, where she plays Jackie, a Star Wars and Lord of the Rings-loving founder of The Cosmodrome, a school paper dedicated to all things sci-fi and nerdy… and Adam’s (Sean Giambrone) new girlfriend.

And as of Wednesday night’s episode, the newly-minted couple has officially shared their first kiss, but as Boy Meets World (and Girl Meets World) fans may quickly realize, their lip lock (which you can see in the GIFs below) may look a little familiar…

Adam and Jackie’s first kiss is not unlike Cory and Topanga’s first kiss, from the location (up against the lockers) to the initiation (her taking the lead). In fact, it’s also parallel to their daughter Riley’s (Blanchard’s character on the Disney Channel show) first kiss with her first crush Lucas in the Girl Meets World season 1 finale, as she channeled her mother and seized the moment to kiss him — sans any handcuffs of course!

Girl Meets World wrapped its third and final season in January with a nostalgia-filled final episode that saw many of the actors who’d starred in the original Boy Meets World make an appearance as they came to offer Topanga, who was considering a big job offer at the time, their sage advice.

“Everything we did was in an effort to give you the lessons we thought you deserved, that we knew you needed. We tried to represent you as best we could, but more than that, we aimed to be accepted by you,” Blanchard posted on Instagram following the show’s cancellation. “Please continue to watch the show. To talk about it. Teens determine and influence all of this in general, and I hope and think our show reflects you for how you are.”
