Is The Thinker coming to The Flash?

During Tuesday’s episode, future villain Abra Kadabra (David Dastmalchian) rattled off a list of Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) greatest foes, including Thawne (Matt Letscher), Zoom (Teddy Sears), Savitar, and DeVoe — a villain not yet introduced on the show.

Who is DeVoe? In DC Comics, Clifford DeVoe is a genius inventor otherwise known as The Thinker. Using scientific devices, like his infamous Thinking Cap, DeVoe was a member of the Injustice Society as Suicide Squad, as well as one of The Flash’s foes.

While the mention of DeVoe’s name could just mean he’s a villain-of-the-week we may meet in the future, it seems worthy to note that he was mentioned among the main baddies from each season. Plus: The Thinker potentially being introduced as the new big bad of season 4 would certainly make sense in light of recent news; executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed at PaleyFest that the show would not include a speedster villain next season.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
