For months, Stranger Things fans wondered about the fate of breakout character Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). In season 1’s finale, the telekinetic pre-teen appears to have perished after defeating the Demogorgon. Hopper (David Harbour) is then later seen dropping off Eggos, Eleven’s snack of choice, in the woods. The character (and Brown) are back, but her storyline this season is so shrouded in secrecy that the actress even has a code name on set.

“I want people to know that she’s back and she’s a major part of the season and not know how or why,” says co-creator Matt Duffer. “We do get into her story and backstory. We learn about where she came from and how she came into the world and the program that resulted in her.”
Adds Brown, “She has a storyline this season for her, and it’s an emotional transition. Last season I didn’t get to expand [on the character] — this season is giving me that opportunity.”
So odds are good the girl with the nosebleeds is the one eating the delivered breakfast carbs.
