Is Lucifer definitely back in the cage on Supernatural?? — Sara
At this point, it’s less about where Lucifer is than the fact that he has a child on the way. “In terms of Lucifer: he’s a character that even when he’s back in the cage, he’s been active in our world,” showrunner Andrew Dabb says. “I think the fact that he’s got a kid rolling around out there, he’s not dead. He is still a player in some ways. I think we’re dealing with a world where even if Lucifer is off the table in some ways, his influence will still be felt. In episode 12, we’re introducing a fun extension of our mythology. Some long-forgotten Lucifer lore may come out of the woodwork now that his kid is kind of up for grabs.” Now the question becomes: Who should play him?
What the Huck is coming up with my favorite OPAer on Scandal this season? — Marion
You could say there’s some good news coming up for Huck — I, however, trust no one, so I’m expecting this to turn out poorly. “Someone’s coming into Huck’s life,” Guillermo Diaz says. “He hasn’t had a partner in a long time — like a lover, or a girlfriend, or wife for a while. So someone comes into his life that he really likes.” You can get much more Scandal scoop in this week’s issue of EW, where my Shondaland cohort Lynette Rice breaks down those shocking premiere twists with Shonda Rhimes and the cast!
Anything Hawaii Five-0? — Liza
I can exclusively reveal that Hootie & the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker will guest star in episode 18 this season. He’ll play Desmond Gamal, a bomb maker wanted in connection with numerous attacks around the Middle East. The U.S. government has been chasing him for years, except he’s not just a bomb maker — while the CIA was training rebels in Syria, Gamal was training ISIS and Boko Haram. Someone recently went to a lot of trouble to sneak him into Hawaii, so here’s hoping McGarrett and the team can track him down!
Will we get more info on Lucy’s journal soon on Timeless? — Hayley
Yes, and very soon! “This is the time now that we’re going to be finding out a lot in the next couple of episodes,” Goran Visnjic tells me. “We’re going to be traveling into some cool time periods and meeting some really interesting people, but also we’re going to find out a lot about everybody. Lucy’s going to come in touch with the real journal, that is completely empty, very soon. What’s she going to put in there? How far ahead the cooperation between Flynn and Lucy is happening, we don’t know that. It might be 20 years from now or three years from now because things are changing so fast. We’re going to get a lot of answers.”
When is How to Get Away with Murder going to address that Bonnie-Annalise kiss? — Ronald
Well, Annalise is in jail and a little preoccupied, so it might be a while. “Their relationship is one of the key relationships of the show to me,” EP Pete Nowalk tells me, raising some very important questions: “Is that the first time they’ve kissed? Have they done more? The other thing is that kiss means nothing in the grand scheme of what they’re going through, so it adds another layer of complication, dysfunction, and love between them. I’m glad you’re still thinking about it. I’m not going to necessarily say it will ever mean one thing.”
Can you say anything about the upcoming Earth-2 Flash episode with Grodd? — Keri
Here’s what we know: Gorilla Grodd will be wreaking havoc on Central City, and the two-parter will take place on both Earths — but Grodd isn’t the only familiar face that’ll appear on Earth-2. “The team will go to Gorilla City,” executive producer Aaron Helbing reveals. “We’ll see where Grodd was sent. We’ll see his standing amongst the other gorillas. There are some sequences in the two episodes that are unbelievable. They’re epic and unbelievable in scale and scope. I’ve never seen anything like it on television.”
Did you ask Jessica Capshaw how Arizona will react to Alex possibly going to jail on Grey’s Anatomy? — Fernando
Yes! And it’s safe to say that Arizona will not handle her protégé’s potential imprisonment well. “Since the very beginning, when Arizona came back [from New York] and was away when the sh– hit the fan, her coming back and trying to understand how this even happened, and if she had to pick a side, which side would that be and what to do about it, it’s been obviously played off-camera,” Capshaw says. “But the idea that Alex would turn himself in and face what she knows he’d be facing is devastating for her.”
Mick and Amaya aren’t romantic on Legends of Tomorrow? LOL you’re joking. — Erin
Au contraire, even Dominic Purcell concurs. “No, there’s no relationship going on between Amaya and Heat Wave,” he tells me. “It’s more of an emotional connection.” But we do know there’s a steamy sex scene coming up in episode 11, so make of that what you will! In the meantime, Purcell says it’s always a possibility that Captain Cold’s return will send Mick back to the dark side. “I don’t think Mick is a good guy,” Purcell says, “and there’s a lot of history there. Mick loves Cold.”
Are Bobbi and Hunter going to return to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. anytime soon? — Josephine
Sorry to disappoint, but probably not. “One can only dream,” EP Maurissa Tancharoen says. “That’s always on our minds.” Essentially, they’re gone, but certainly not forgotten. “Once an agent, always an agent, so it’s always out there in the ether,” EP Jed Whedon adds. “But right now we’re taking a breather.”
On Colony, will we find out why Will and Charlie were spared on the wall? — Emma
That mystery will certainly weigh in the back of Will’s mind moving forward. “It was super intentional that they didn’t kill them, so why?” EP Carlton Cuse says. Adds fellow EP Ryan Condal: “The humans think they have some grasp and understanding of what’s going on, what the rules are of the Hosts and their technology, but that little sequence is a reminder that they absolutely do not.”
