Bust out the tissues, Snow Patrol is returning with a new album this spring.

The Northern Irish-Scottish rock band is back May 25 with the first album in seven years, entitled Wildness which, per the release, “taps into something raw and primitive.”

This is the first album from the group since 2011’s Fallen Empires, when they took an extended break to work on solo projects. “There are many types of wildness, but I think it can be distilled into two: the wildness of the modern age, all it’s confusion, illogic and alienation and a more ancient wildness,” says the band’s frontman Gary Lightbody of the new body of work. “Something primal, alive and beautiful that speaks to our true connectivity, our passion, our love, our communion with nature and each other. This is the kind of wildness the album is centered around. The loss of it. Trying to reconnect with it. To remember it.”

Wildness is available to pre-order now here. Check out the cover art below and watch a trailer for the new record above.
