Eminem and Beyoncé 'Walk on Water' in moving new single — listen now!

Posted on

Eminem returned Friday, and he did so with one of music’s biggest names: Beyoncé. The song will likely appear on the rapper’s forthcoming ninth album, which has been long rumored.

“Walk on Water” opens with an elegiac piano line and Beyoncé’s crystalline vocals, as she sings, “I walk on water, but I ain’t no Jesus / I walk on water, but only when it freezes.” Buttressed by an emotional string section, Eminem subsequently lays down typically dense verses.

Last month, Eminem made headlines when he criticized President Donald Trump in a freestyle that aired during BET’s Hip-Hop Awards. He’ll perform as the musical guest on the Nov. 18 episode of Saturday Night Live, which Chance the Rapper will host. No word yet on whether Queen Bey will join.

Hear “Walk On Water” above.
