So What? She’s a still a rock star.
That may be true, but Pink also showcased how relatable she is on Wednesday when she shared on Instagram a selfie where she’s breast pumping.
The singer, who gave birth to son Jameson eight months ago, is currently on tour in Europe in advance of the release of her next album —Beautiful Trauma, available Oct. 13 — but that doesn’t mean she gets a break from mom duties. She posted the photo with the caption, “And now this #pumpupthejams #mombreak.”
Fans, especially fellow moms, were thrilled to see the 37-year-old mother of two (daughter Willow is 6 years old) sharing the relatable picture and proudly displaying herself mid-pump. Comments included, “This is amazing. Go momma xxx” and “Yes! So amazing! Momma’s gotta do what momma’s gotta do,” with more people echoing similar sentiments in the comments section.
Some also took care to praise Pink for normalizing pumping and public breastfeeding, writing, “My absolute favorite celeb #normalizebreastfeeding” and “That’s so awesome!!! Thank you for normalizing breastfeeding!!! You are amazing!!! Xoxo from fellow breastfeeding mommy( breastfeeding for 3 1/2 years).”
Throughout her tour of Europe, Pink has had her son by her side and has often shared adorable photos of their travels. On Sunday, she shared a photo of Jameson in a car seat with the caption, “For your morning pleasure #greetingsfromgermany.”
Pink released her latest single, “What About Us,” and its accompanying music video in the last week. The singer will be back stateside soon though to accept her Video Vanguard Award and perform at the VMAs on Aug. 27.
