Adele appeared during the Grammys to pay tribute to the late pop star George Michael with a performance of his 1996 song “Fastlove,” but when her audio got off to a bad start, Adele stopped singing and asked to restart. “I know it’s live TV … I’m sorry for swearing, and I’m sorry for starting again,” she told the crowd. “I can’t do it like I did it last year,” Adele said, referencing her 2016 Grammys performance during which her audio was also off.

But after she restarted, Adele nailed the second run-through. Solidarity poured in from her fellow celebrities and artists, especially those who know a thing or two about stressful performances in front of large audiences.
