EW’s Best Picture bracket narrows to Elite 8

To commemorate the Academy Awards celebrating 90 years of film, Entertainment Weekly is holding the EW Oscar Bracket Battle, which is concluding with Best Picture. Our film critics and editors selected the best winners throughout history and landed on the top 64 — now, thanks to your votes, eight films are still in contention for the top prize.

Favorites like West Side Story, The Silence of the Lambs, and 12 Years a Slave are still in the running after a round of voting so tight even Rocky couldn’t outlast it. Cast your votes below, download the full bracket here, and be sure to share your picks on social media with the hashtag #EWOscarBattle. Round four of the Best Picture bracket ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 22.

The winner of the Best Picture bracket will be announced on March 2 at 10 a.m. ET — two days before the 90th Academy Awards are handed out. Watch this page for updates throughout.
