Posted on

With less than a month left until the release of the next Star Wars movie, the film’s press tour is kicking into high gear. These days, the breakout star of Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailers and clips are definitely the porgs, new penguin-like aliens that seem born to make delightful noises and hilarious faces. But Laura Dern, who will be making her Star Wars debut in the new film, still has love for BB-8, the spherical droid who so delighted viewers of The Force Awakens. In a video posted on Twitter, Dern comforts BB-8 at a press stop for The Last Jedi.

“Are you upset by all the porg focus?” Dern asked the robot, who uttered its characteristic bleeps and bloops in response. “I mean they’re adorable, but you’re my guy. I love you, BB-8!”

Dern will be playing the Resistance leader Vice Admiral Holdo in The Last Jedi. Fans have already gotten a look at her distinctive purple hair, and in EW”s recent cover story on the film revealed that Holdo will be at odds with X-Wing ace Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) as they figure out how to move the Resistance forward after the ups and downs of The Force Awakens.

Watch the delightful clip below. Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on Dec. 15.
