Many have probably heard Jenny McCarthy’s sexual harassment claim against Steven Seagal; it’s something she divulged in an interview with Movieline in 1998. But in light of additional claims from Portia de Rossi, Inside Edition correspondent Lisa Guerrero, and Julianna Margulies, McCarthy brought her story back to the forefront on her Sirius XM Radio show Thursday.
McCarthy recalled auditioning for Under Siege 2 in a muumuu “so the casting people would actually look at my face and watch my work.” She said, “Under Siege 1 was a big deal because they hired a [Playboy] Playmate [Erika Eleniak]. So all the girls were like, ‘Oh my god, maybe we’ll be in Under Siege 2. This is a big deal.'”
Though McCarthy was “totally starstruck” to see Seagal, she remembered walking into the audition room with a “firm,” “serious actress” handshake. “Then I notice that there was no one else in the room,” she continued. She reasoned, “He’s a celebrity, so maybe it’s normal.”
“So I stand across from him and he plops onto a sofa that’s near a fireplace — of course it is — and taps the sofa cushion next to him saying, ‘Take a seat. Relax,'” she continued. “I said, ‘No thank you! I’m just really excited to read for this part, and I have so much energy I need to stand.’”
After “bragging about himself,” McCarthy recalled him saying, “You know, this part has nudity in it and I can’t really tell what your body looks like in that dress that you’re wearing.”
“In my head, I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go. Sound the alarms. This is not a test, this is the real thing. Activate all defense systems,'” she said. “But I so wanted to legitimately read for this part that I wasn’t gonna give up yet. So I told him, I said, ‘Listen. My agent says there’s no nudity. I specifically asked her and she said no.’ And you know what he says to me? ‘Well, there is off-camera nudity.'”
Going from “shocked to sadness,” McCarthy yelled, “Go buy my Playboy video. It’s on sale for $19.99,” before running out of the building towards her car. That’s when, she said, Seagal followed her and threatened, “Don’t tell anybody or else.”
“I was the last girl he saw that day,” she said. “How many girls had to take off their clothes? How many girls had to do more?”
A spokesperson for Seagal denied McCarthy’s claims in a statement to The Daily Beast this past October. “Warner Brothers casting for the film Under Siege 2 has confirmed that Jenny McCarthy never auditioned for a role on Under Siege 2. Her claim is completely false,” the rep said.
Representatives for Seagal and Warner Bros. have not yet responded to EW’s request for comment regarding McCarthy’s claims.

De Rossi accused Seagal of a similar experience. On Wednesday, the Arrested Development star tweeted that he “unzipped his leather pants” during an audition, explaining “how important it was to have chemistry off-screen.”
Margulies, who costarred with Seagal in 1991’s Out for Justice at the age of 23, claimed a female casting director summoned her to Seagal’s hotel room one night to go over a scene. Once there, she said he made a point to show her his gun. “I had never seen a gun in real life. And I got out of there unscathed,” she said.
