Creed star Michael B. Jordan is jumping in the directing ring.
The actor will make his directorial debut with an adaptation of David Barclay Moore’s The Stars Beneath Our Feet, EW has confirmed. The author will pen the script and serve as executive producer.
Endeavor Content has acquired the rights to the recently released novel, which follows a 12-year-old whose older brother died months earlier in a gang-related shooting. The Harlem youth uses his imagination and Legos to navigate the road ahead.
Jordan already has a busy 2018 ahead of him. The Friday Night Lights alum will next be seen in Marvel’s Black Panther, followed by HBO’s Fahrenheit 451. He’s also set to relace the gloves for the Sylvester Stallone-directed Creed 2.
Deadline first reported the news.
