Bill Pullman mourns his partner in The Ballad of Lefty Brown clip

In new Western The Ballad of Lefty Brown (out Dec. 15), Bill Pullman plays the titular cowboy who witnesses the murder of his longtime partner — Peter Fonda’s newly elected Senator Edward Johnson — and sets out to find the killers and avenge his friend’s gruesome death. Tracking the outlaws across the vast and desolate Montana plains, Lefty recruits a young gunslinger, Jeremiah (Diego Josef), and an old friend, a hard-drinking U.S. marshall (Tommy Flanagan), to help deliver the men to justice.

The Ballad of Lefty Brown is written and directed by Jared Moshé and costars Kathy Baker, Jim Caviezel, and Joe Anderson. The film is available to watch now exclusively on DIRECTV and will be released theatrically Dec. 15.
