Michelle Rodriguez says Vin Diesel will probably convince her to return to Fast & Furious

Michelle Rodriguez has been very vocal over the last few months about arguing for better roles for women in the Fast & Furious franchise. However, the actress has now clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that she probably won’t be leaving the blockbuster franchise anytime soon, even as she advocates for it to evolve.

“I’m sure he’ll convince me,” Rodriguez said of her costar Vin Diesel, who is also a producer on the Fast & Furious films. After Rodriguez first posted her passionate Instagram in June declaring that “I hope they decide to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one. Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise,” she followed up with a friendly appearance on Diesel’s Instagram a week later, clarifying their friendship and their interest in the same issues.

“Yes, you’re there to entertain people, but when you’re on that scale you also have a responsibility,” Rodriguez told The Hollywood Reporter. “I won’t accept anything else, and Vin won’t accept anything else. He knows, he gets it.”

Shortly before Rodriguez originally made her comments about female characters in Fast & Furious, she talked to EW for a wide-reaching interview with the franchise’s female stars. Check that out here.
