Deadpool 2: Ryan Reynolds shares first look at Domino

Posted on

Domino is set to take over Deadpool 2.

On Monday, Ryan Reynolds shared a first look at Atlanta breakout Zazie Beetz as the mercenary Domino. An obvious callback to Deadpool‘s first poster, the image shows Domino lounging in front of a fireplace atop of Deadpool, who has been flattened out into a rug.

“Some people just know how to work a red carpet,” tweeted Reynolds.

Reynolds has not been shy about sharing photos from the set of the highly-anticipated sequel, which will also star Josh Brolin as Cable. In June, Reynolds posted a posing in front of the X-Mansion in costume, and two weeks ago, he confirmed Leslie Uggams’ return as Blind Al in another photo. Similarly, Brolin has also documented his transformation into the psychic mercenary on social media, too.

Although, there aren’t any plot details right now, we do have a sense of the movie’s tone thanks to Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld. In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Liefeld compared Deadpool and Cable’s dynamic to the one between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker’s characters in the Rush Hour movies. “When I see the two of them, I’m like, ‘It’s going to be comic book’s equivalent to Rush Hour,’ and I don’t know if comic fans are ready for it. I think it’s going to be great,” he said.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 — which also stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Julian Dennison and Jack Kesy — will open in theaters on June 1, 2018.
