Deadpool 2 set photo sees the return of Blind Al

Posted on

Blind Al is back! Ryan Reynolds celebrated his reunion with actress Leslie Uggams, returning to her foulmouthed role, on the set of the Deadpool sequel with a new photo.

“Spent another day with this beautiful lady,” Reynolds wrote on social media. “Just lost in each other’s ears.”

The Merc with the Mouth had described Blind Al as “Robin to my Batman, except she’s old and black and blind.” His roomie never took any of his crap, either, frequently calling him a “dumbass” and “douche.” Time to see more of this unconventional love.

“#BlindAl and her BFF chillin’ after a hectic day of shooting,” Uggams wrote on Facebook.

Uggams returns for Deadpool 2 alongside familiar faces like Reynolds, Breanne Hildebrand, and Morena Baccarin. Plot details are still hush-hush, but we know Josh Brolin is playing the psychic mutant Cable, Zazie Beetz will portray Domino, and Jack Kesy is playing what is reported to be the new villain.

Twentieth Century Fox also scored another cinematic hooligan, Julian Dennison, the breakout from Taika Waititi’s The Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

Deadpool 2 began production in June under the direction of David Leitch, and the film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
