In space, no one can hear you scream — or call out for your MUTHUR, judging by the latest teaser for Alien: Covenant.
Fox debuted the latest preview for Ridley Scott’s upcoming Prometheus sequel — about a team of celestial explorers who discover a remote planet teeming with vicious extraterrestrials — on Friday morning, previewing the film’s on-board computer system, MUTHUR, and her potentially ill-fated existence aboard the film’s namesake spaceship.
The clip begins with Covenant crew member Daniels (Katherine Waterston) questioning the AI program about the details of her journey, later inquiring about the contents of the craft’s pantry (“Is there anything for breakfast other than oatmeal?” she asks, like an impatient child prodding a parent for junk food).

Things take a sinister turn, however, as MUTHUR curiously stops responding to her passengers’ requests, leading Daniels to the conclusion that something isn’t quite right. She then comes face to face with a terrifying threat, one that’s looming “4 meters above” her head, as MUTHUR conveniently reboots to tell her in the nick of time.
Alien: Covenant, which also stars James Franco, Carmen Ejogo, Demián Bichir, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, and returning franchise cast members Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace, creeps into theaters May 19. Watch the new teaser above.
