On Monday, news broke that Margot Robbie has signed on to play one of the most notorious athletes in sports history: figure skater Tonya Harding in the new film I, Tonya.
Harding became the first American woman to land a triple axel in a major competition, claimed victory at the 1991 U.S. Figure Skating Championships and second in the World Championships, but her career imploded after her ex-husband and bodyguard hired a man to attack fellow American skater Nancy Kerrigan a month before the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. The attack bruised Kerrgian, who went on to win silver at the Olympics, while Harding placed eighth and later pleaded guilty to conspiring to hinder prosecution in the attack and was ultimately banned from the U.S. Figure Skating Association for life.

No other details for I, Tonya, including a director or other cast members, have yet been announced, but it seems all but inevitable that the film will include the attack on Kerrigan and its subsequent fallout. And with the Suicide Squad star set as Harding, our thoughts immediately went to who should play her on-ice rival.
EW editors hit the metaphorical rink and came up with a few ideas, from Anne Hathaway to Girls star Allison Williams and Emma Stone (who is already playing tennis great Billie Jean King in the upcoming Battle of the Sexes). Or, perhaps the role could go to Cristin Milioti for a bit of Wolf of Wall Street revenge.
So, who do you think should play Kerrigan? Cast your vote in our poll and add more ideas in the comments below.
