Destiny 2 launches Wednesday, and the sequel to Activision and Bungie’s blockbuster shared-world shooter promises an expanded story mode that is once again brought to life by some big Hollywood talent. Former Firefly costars Nathan Fillion and Gina Torres reprise their roles from the first game, and the studio gave us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the voiceover recording sessions for Destiny 2, which you can watch above.
Fillion plays fan-favorite Cayde-6, a wisecracking humanoid machine that he describes in the video as “the most popular, well-liked, and best-looking” character. Torres voices Ikora Rey, a fierce Warlock that she says is “one of the smartest people in the universe.” Lance Reddick (The Wire) again plays “commanding badass” Commander Zavala, while Nathan Drake himself Nolan North returns as the perky artificial intelligence Ghost. They’re joined by Neil Kaplan as new big bad Lord Ghaul.
Check out the video to see the cast recording lines and goofing around in the studio before you jump into the game. Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and will launch on PC on Oct. 24.
