Riddler returns, Joker takes a selfie in Telltale's Batman: The Enemy Within trailer

Smile, Batsy

The Riddler is back terrorizing Gotham in the new trailer for Batman: The Enemy Within, a continuation of the Batman: The Telltale Series games. But, as that unmistakable cackle with tell you, he’s not the only familiar face: Joker shows his maniacal mug once again, and this time he’s calling in his chips.

The Enemy Within, a five-part episodic story, will see Bruce Wayne attempting to crack Riddler’s puzzles, which foreshadow an even greater dilemma. The villain is not insane; “I am death,” he taunts his mobster prey.

At the same time, a “ruthless federal agent” comes into the picture: Amanda Waller. DC fans know her traditionally as the warden of Belle Reve Prison and the wrangler of Task Force X, played in Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad by Viola Davis. “This city is about to find itself in a crisis the likes of which it’s never known,” she warns here.

Troy Baker and Anthony Ingruber return to voice Batman and “John Doe” (a.k.a. Joker), respectively, in Batman: The Enemy Within. The new season kicks off with its first episode, “The Enigma,” on Aug. 8 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac users. iOS and Android-based devices will get the game in early October, and Oct. 3 marks its debut in retail stores.
