5. Marcus Canty Last week: #6
Marcus is a solid performer, but hasn't done much to distinguish himself as a vocal artist. As EW.com reader GaysWithOpinions put it, ''He's basically Jason Derulo, only straight.'' He should definitely feel free to keep on not wearin' sleeves.

4. Chris Rene Last week: #5
The very likable recovering addict can barely ever stay on pitch, but apparently people are voting for him! (And if he keeps pumping up the gems, I might too.)

3. Rachel Crow Last week: #4
Simon sort of phoned in his commentary last week (''You always put on a show.''), so his love affair with the idea of Rachel Crow as a bubbly tween pop commodity could be over. But have tween voters fallen for her already? Does the word tween get more annoying the more times I type it? It's a yes!

2. Melanie Amaro Last week: #2
To borrow some wisdom from Nicole Scherzinger: If Melanie's crystalline vocals and the intriguing restoration of her West Indies accent ''don't save a small country somewhere, I don't know WHAT will.''

1. Josh Krajcik Last week: #1
Last week's ''Dirty Diana'' was overpowered by an X Factory electrical storm. I'd love to see him play acoustic guitar and let his signature wail sing for itself. Josh is a bit more dynamic than Melanie for me, but it's a safe bet to say that either of them will win.
