Matthew Perry stars as the owner of a sports arena; Allison Janney plays his boss.
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: The dialogue I've heard so far is sharp and snappy; could be another part of the sitcom renaissance.

NO ORDINARY FAMILY
Michael Chiklis (The Shield) and Julie Benz (Dexter) head up a family that acquires super-powers.
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: With stars such as these and a producer like Greg Berlanti (Everwood, Eli Stone), you'd be crazy not to be curious about how they'll pull off this concept.

A cop show, shot documentary-style, starring The Sopranos' Michael Imperioli and NYPD Blue's James McDaniel.
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: What little I've seen looks smart and tough, with what appears to be a serrated-edge sense of humor.

Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw star as a married couple — who are also spies for the CIA.
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: Take a sturdy old TV concept, cast charming lead actors, and run it through the brain of producer J.J. Abrams and there's no way this isn't going onto my DVR schedule.

A rich oddball (Will Arnett) tries to woo a noble environmentalist (Keri Russell).
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: The pairing of these two in a sitcom from some folks from Arrested Development. Yes, I'm dyin' to see how this one plays out.

In the season's most promising-sounding nighttime soap, a con man (Jimmy Wolk) comes to fleece a Texas corporation headed by Jon Voight and sticks around to romance his daughter (Friday Night Lights' Adrianne Paliki).
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: The multi-generational cast looks as though it'll mesh well, and I already like the wily attitudes of both the Wolk and Voight characters.

A Chicago police drama that follows three sets of cops.
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: With a cast as various as Jennifer Beals (as chief of police), Jason Clarke, and Delroy Lindo, this provides some good suspense.

BODY OF PROOF
Any show that utilizes Dana Delany as a smart, sarcastic medical examiner is headed in the right direction from the start....
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: Toss in a back story about her having been a brain surgeon, and I'm certainly intrigued.

A fast-moving cop show, rebooting the old Jack Lord series, featuring Alex O'Loughlin, Daniel Dae Kim, Scott Caan, and Grace Park. Together, they form an A-Team of tropical law enforcement.
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: O'Loughlin, as a likable rogue cop, may have finally found a vehicle that'll last, and Caan displays a lot of the tough humor that initially reminds you of his father but soon becomes Scott's own.

Another version of La Femme Nikita, this one starring Maggie Q (Mission: Impossible III).
Why Ken Tucker wants to see it: We know going in there'll be a lot of intricate fight scenes; what I'm hoping is that it's neither self-serious nor campy.
