Performers have been announced for the 90th annual Academy Awards.
Mary J. Blige, Sufjan Stevens, and Common and Andra Day are among the big names performing this year’s nominees for Best Original Song. Blige will perform “Mighty River” from the film Mudbound, for which she is also nominated as Best Supporting Actress. Stevens will perform “Mystery of Love” from Call Me By Your Name, one of three songs the artist contributed to that film’s soundtrack. Common and Andra Day will perform “Stand Up For Something” from the film Marshall.
Keala Settle will also perform “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, which marks the second Oscar nomination for the prodigious duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who previously won for last year’s “City of Stars” from La La Land. Gael García Bernal, Natalia Lafourcade, and Miguel will perform “Remember Me” from Coco, which is also nominated for Best Animated Feature Film.
“We’re excited to have these talented artists showcase the powerful contribution music makes to filmmaking,” said producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd in a statement. “It’s a privilege to welcome them to the 90th Oscars stage.”
The 90th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air on March 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
